VestaCP allows you to to reset your VestaCP admin password.
Unfortunately, VestaCP doesn’t have reset button on the GUI login page. But fortunately, you can still reset the password through command line interface. This method can also be used to reset the password of other users.
If you still have root SSH access, you can change password using the command given below.
/usr/local/vesta/bin/v-change-user-password admin adminpassword
In the above command please replace adminpassword with the pass you want for the admin account.
That’s all, the password has been reset and you can now login with the new password.
I recommend you to store all your passwords on Bitwarden.com which is a free service and super secure. You can generate super secure passwords to with it.
